Privacy Policy

NutriQuick is built to track your food, not you. We don't run analytics, we don't have a backend that stores your data, and we don't sell, share or transfer anything to third parties. The short version is below — the rest of this page is the long version.

01Who we are

NutriQuick (the "app") is developed and operated by Adesh Pandey ("we", "us", "our") as an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you install or use it on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

02What we collect

We aim to collect as close to nothing as possible. The data the app touches falls into four categories, all stored on your device or in your private Apple-managed storage:

• Food & activity log: meals, foods, recipes, presets, weight entries, workouts and goals you record. Stored in the app's local database on your device.
• Cached barcodes: when you scan a product, we cache the result on your device so repeat scans work offline. Only the barcode and the nutrition fields returned are stored — never anything tied to your identity.
• App preferences: theme, units, notification settings, onboarding state. Stored locally.
• Subscription state: whether you have an active NutriQuick Pro subscription. Verified by Apple via StoreKit — we receive an entitlement flag, not your payment details.

03What we never collect

• We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth (unless you email us directly for support).
• We don't use any analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting or attribution SDKs.
• We don't run advertising and have no ad partners or trackers in the app.
• We don't sell, share, rent or transfer your data to any third party.
• We don't profile you, build behavioural segments, or feed your data to AI training systems.

04Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to enable Health integration, NutriQuick can:

• Read step count and body-weight samples so steps show alongside your nutrition and weight charts can plot existing data.
• Write the calories, protein, carbs and fat you log so it appears in the Health app alongside your other health metrics.

HealthKit data lives in Apple's encrypted Health store on your device. NutriQuick never transmits HealthKit data off your device — we don't even see it ourselves. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → NutriQuick.

05iCloud sync (Pro)

NutriQuick Pro can sync your log, presets, custom foods and weight history across your devices using Apple's CloudKit framework. When sync is on, your data is stored in your private iCloud container under your Apple ID. It is end-to-end encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple and is not visible to us.

You can disable sync at any time inside the app, and you can wipe the iCloud copy from Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → NutriQuick.

06Barcode lookups

When you scan a barcode that isn't already cached on your device, the app sends only the numeric barcode to Open Food Facts, a community-run open food database, to retrieve the product's nutrition. No identifier of you, your device, your account or your location is included in the request beyond what your network connection inherently exposes.

07Purchases & subscriptions

NutriQuick Pro is sold as a Monthly subscription, an Annual subscription (with a 1-week free trial) and a Lifetime non-consumable. All transactions are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We never see your payment details, billing address, or full Apple ID — we only receive a signed entitlement that tells the app which features to unlock.

08Data retention & deletion

• On device: deleting the app removes the local database and all cached barcodes, preferences and logs.
• In iCloud: turn off sync inside the app to stop further uploads, then manage or delete the existing iCloud copy from your iCloud storage settings.
• In Health: nutrition entries the app wrote can be removed inside the Health app's Data Sources section.
• Support emails: emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer them, then deleted.

09Children

NutriQuick is not directed at, or marketed to, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you'd like that local data wiped, simply delete the app from the device — we hold no copy ourselves.

10Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app on next launch. Continued use of NutriQuick after a change means you accept the revised policy.
